Susan A. K. Smith was born and raised in Maryland.  She currently lives in Carbondale, IL with her husband, Greg — a Smith. That’s how she became a Smith. Born to East Indian immigrants, she has spent all her life experiencing two cultures.  She loves diversity, and everything cultural.  Spare moments are usually spent thinking about picture scenarios in her mind.  She loves documentary styled photography, and craves to continue her skill in it as a fine art.

Susan is a self-taught photographer, but credits her love for capturing beauty to the Creator of the Universe, God, whose passion for beauty is evident in all He does.

“Great is the LORD, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, His holy mountain.  It is beautiful in its loftiness, the joy of the whole earth.  Like the utmost heights of Zaphon is Mount Zion, the city of the Great King.”  Psalms 48:1-2

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live.”  Ecclesiastes 3:11-12

It’s falling from the clouds
A strange and lovely sound
I hear it in the thunder and rain
It’s ringing in the skies
Like cannons in the night
The music of the universe plays

You are holy great and mighty
The moon and the stars declare who You are
I’m so unworthy, but still You love me
Forever my heart will sing of how great You are

Beautiful and free
Song of Galaxies
It’s reaching far beyond the milky way
Lets join in with the sound
C’mon let’s sing it loud
As the music of the universe plays

All glory, honor, power is Yours, amen
All glory, honor, power is Yours, amen

All glory, honor, power is Yours forever amen
